The Magic of Believing by Claude Bristol

She found this book, The Magic of Believing by Claude Bristol, a few weeks ago. Things you need in your life comes to you, sometimes in mysterious ways. It was like one of those mysterious ways with this book. This book actually found her, she did not find the book. It is as if the book chose her.

She read it a few times. A few things Claude Bristol wrote about in the book made sense to her, and she tried them. Testing to see what the results may be.

The two things she tried was the Mirror method and Subliminal messaging.

She knew about these methods, from previous readings, they are both advanced Law of Attraction methods. Something that would seem simple, something that is too simple to work, or just something other people can master, but not her. She never thought to try it before, but after reading this book she decided to try both methods. Each in her own way. Then she combined them at some point.

She reported that they work like magic! Fast, effective and quicker than any other way.

One thing you always have to remember, you have to add faith and an unwavering solid strong belief.

There is genuine magic in believing.

If you don’t belief it, you will never achieve it. To have a firm trust in what we cannot hear, smell, feel, taste or feel.

The Mirror method and Subliminal messaging is excellent tools to used to shape your life the way you want it, but without belief it all is just dead. Do you have true belief!

Let’s discuss what she did with the Mirror method first.

She put a mirror to talk to herself in her loo. So that when she sits down and does this very important job, she actually looks herself in the eye, and can speak to herself without any distractions at least twice a day. With this she put some “post it’s” close by to remind her constantly of what she wants to tell herself.

She also put a mirror just behind, a bit above her computer screen where she works daily, with “post it” bits of picture words to remind her of her goals. Without anybody knowing what it is, or what it means.

She also made a point of looking herself in the eyes when brushing teeth in the morning, while thinking as loud as she can in her head what it is that she wants.

The mirror method works wonders, like magic. It works because you look yourself straight in the eye and you talk to yourself. I think there is no way you cannot belief what you say. Your subconscious mind knows you’ll only speak truth to yourself. This method is an excellent way to change your subconscious mind’s belief.

I personally belief that talking to yourself is a good practice.

I read somewhere a long time ago that it is the practice of successful intelligent people to do so. People tend to think you are crazy when you do talk to yourself, but I found I tell myself the truth and I see better into myself.

She went a little step further, and she combined subliminal messaging with the mirror method while using picture words. The picture words are written all over the place where she spends the majority of her time on a daily basis. These serve as reminders. Without others knowing what it means or what it is.

What she did, is she wrote a few pages of what she wants. Her desires and her goals. She was clear, concise and definite in what she wants. She also wrote about herself, confirming who and what she is, or wants to be. Then she recorded herself speaking these words to herself.

The first recordings she made was good. It was just words. Then after two days she re recorded with more enthusiasm and more faith, more believable to her own ears.

Then after another two days she did the same again. The difference between recording 1 and recording 10 was astonishing. Her voice had more authority, more determination and was a lot more convincing. She started to belief herself.

What she did with these recordings from the first one, was to listen to herself, her own affirmations twice daily. She recorded these on her phone and listened to herself with earphones. At night she put herself talking on low volume and drifted off to sleep with her own voice speaking to herself in her ears.

After just a week, she is a walking miracle. I am telling the truth. She was not looking for money or love or anything else but pain relieve and a healthy body. She has been suffering from serious back pain for years. The doctors told her that there is no cure, she will have to live with this condition forever, painkillers and eventually a wheelchair by her 40s is what she was doomed for. She desperately wants to live without pain.

She healed her body, she is pain free from day 3 after she started with these two methods alone. Imagine what you can do for yourself if she can cure her pain. I have not seen her move and play ever before, as she has been doing for the past few weeks. She is totally taking full advantage of having no pain.

Would you say it’s a miracle?

She herself can hardly belief this health transformation, but she has vowed to never stop using these techniques, and to keep on believing in her own healing power. This is part of her daily routing now, and she is reaping rewards like she never imagined possible. She is only 39 but she is set on never using a wheelchair as they predicted she would. She has this firm unwavering strong belief that she is completely healed of this condition she suffered from for years.

What is true belief? It is the firm positive conviction of what we trust, but cannot see or hear or taste or feel or smell or touch, that goes through every fiber of one’s being, heart, mind and soul.

There is genuine magic in believing.

The conscious mind is the thinking mind, the subconscious mind is the root of all your power, belief is the golden tread that runs through it all. Believe supplies the power to the subconscious mind. Repetitive affirmations lead to belief.

Mental attitude is more important than mental capacity. With the right mental attitude you can rule the world.

To get the best results, it is recommended to practice this for 21 days. Twice a day is better than once, early morning upon waking up and again at night before sleep. A habit is formed in twenty-one days. But if you can do this for 90 days. Then this habit is changed into a lifestyle. She is pushing for ninety days, or more. She is planning to change her body and her health permanently. A lifestyle change is a permanent change.

This book, The Magic of Believing by Claude Bristol is a valuable book. It gives more insight and more useful information than you can imagine from such a small book. It does not take long to read, it’s an easy read that is understandable to anyone. This book has the ability to change many things you struggle with.

Get your copy of The Magic of Believing by Claude Bristol and read it.  Read it more than once, I suggest you read this book once a week for the next twenty three weeks.  There are a lot inside this book that I have not discussed here today.  I only touched on two concepts, there are more.

Unleash the magic within you!

20 Cool Facts About The Holy Bible

The Bible is the most interesting book ever written. Filled with great knowledge, a collection of sacred texts and scriptures, considered to be a product of divine inspiration. The Bible has been translated in over 3’300 different languages, and it is considered to be the best-selling book of all time. With over 100 thousand copies sold worldwide each and every year.

I have a few facts about the Bible. Some of which none of us knew.

1. The oldest scriptures in the Bible is 3’000 years old.

2. 24’000 messages in the Bible that stood the test of time, and still continue to do so.

3. The Bible is the book that is translated into the most languages, even more than Facebook.

4. The Bible was the first major book ever printed, it opened the door to global literacy. Since over 6 billion Bibles has been printed worldwide. Yet, the world needs more Bibles, the world needs to read and practice the Bible teachings more.

5. The Bible was written by about 40 people, and it took a period of about 1600 years to write. Yet, the Bible does not contradict itself. A collection of works from a wide variety of authors, such as shepherds, kings, farmers, priests, poets, scribes, and fisherman. Authors also include traitors, embezzlers, adulterers, murders, and auditors.

6. There is a rare Bible called the “Sinners Bible” which has a misprint imploring people to commit adultery.

7. The shortest verse in the Bible is John 11:35, which states, “Jesus wept.

8. The longest verse in the Bible is Esther 8:9.

9. The shortest chapter in the Bible is Psalm 117, with just 2 verses.

10. The longest chapter in the Bible is Psalm 119.

11. The smallest Bible in the world is called a Nano Bible. It fits on the tip of a pen, is a gold-plated silicon chip on which the entire Hebrew Bible is engraved.

12. The world’s largest Bible weighs over half a ton and was printed one letter at a time.

13. The Bible has inspired more song lyrics than any other book.

14. The Bible is the most commonly stolen book in the world, most likely because it is so easily available in overnight places and hotels and places of worship.

15. The King James Bible (1611) is said to be unrivaled in its accuracy and literary beauty. In addition to 54 scholars, Shakespeare mostly likely helped with the translation of the Bible.

16. There is no mention of how many wise men there were with the birth of Christ, only that they brought three types of gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

17. This is the book with the most sales worldwide in history with over 5 billion copies sold. The most successful book in the world.

18. Jesus was not an only child, he had brothers and sisters.

19. The most expensive book in the world is based on the Bible, it’s a translation of the book Psalms. It is called “The Bay Psalm Book”. It was the first book printed in British North America. The book is a metrical Psalter. One of eleven known surviving copies of the first edition sold at auction in November 2013 for $14.2 million, a record for a printed book.

20. The Bible is a physical book, which you can experience with all five senses. Although the Bible is a physical book, it was written spiritually, and it is meant to be read, understood and lived spiritually. See my explanation the visible and the invisible aspects of the Gospel of Christ. By visible, I mean physical, and by invisible I mean spiritual.

When you read the Bible, and you try to understand it all physical, then many things don’t make sense and there are many contradictions. When your spiritual understanding of the Bible is awakened, then everything makes perfect sense. God tells us in John 4:24 “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” To me this one verse changes my whole belief. It is clear, God is spirit, therefore we must worship Him in spirit, and would that not mean that we have to read his messages to us, which is the Bible, spiritually then?

When you open your spiritual eye, and you live a spiritual life then you are truly free.

Visible and Invisible aspects of the Gospel

Today I want to expand on the Gospel and the Evangelical message that God brings to us.
Let’s first read Genesis 1: 6-8.

“6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which                were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”

I would like to emphasize the following in the text above, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of  the waters”, “God called the firmament Heaven”.

We begin by looking at the visible and invisible aspects of the gospel of Christ. In a previous writing (to read follow this link), I have already discussed in depth the matter of the visible and invisible aspects of the gospel.

The purpose that you and I have with those two words is the comprehensibility and the incomprehensibility of the matter we are discussing. In other words, the Spiritual and the natural. The one is nature, the natural, it’s the one I can see and experience with my five senses. The other is the spiritual, that’s what I can not see, feel, hear, taste or smell with my natural senses. When we talk about the light, spiritually light is what I can see, in other words it’s understandability. In darkness I can not see, it is in other words the incomprehensible, or ignorance.

The one is nature as we live and breath it, and the other is Spirit.

When I take a book in my hands, I can feel it, you can feel it too. We can see it and taste if we wanted to. We can hear it when the book falls to the floor, and we can smell it’s wonderful fragrant smell between the pages. This is a natural book, in a natural world.

The Spiritual is what I can not see, with my natural eye I mean. One can see spiritually, with the spiritual eye. To make it easy, we only talk about visible and invisible aspects of the Spirit of God and the Gospel.  The Bible is written spiritually, therefor the Bible is meant to be used, understood and lived a spiritual way.

It is very important that we have a firm grasp on understanding this concepts, as the foundation of a building must be strong and settled so that the building is not shattered. The same goes for our understanding and grasp of the spiritual concept. We must have a proper understanding.

I take the Communion as an example, in the Bible He speaks of the Holy Communion and the True Communion. The Holy Communion is that one we get in Church with the bread and the juice or wine. This is symbolic of the True Communion, where each of us is a piece of bread in the plate, and so we must eat from each other, together in love and peace.
The wine or juice represents the blood of Christ. These are our fair deeds. For He says to eat and drink, for it is My blood, the blood of the New Testament, which is poured out for many unto forgiveness of sin. The cup in which this wine comes is the act, the duty God gave to each of us.  In other words, the task God has given unto you and me.

Answer me this question. When can you hurt?

When you worked hard, your body or your hands hurt. Your feet too. I do woodwork, I regularly cut or break places and places on my hands that shaved the skin. But I could not have that pain, the little bit of hurt, if I just sat on a stool and did nothing. You can only get hurt by the work you do. This is the only way.

When I get up from my bed this morning, I’m sitting on a chair. I get someone to touch me, I move down and I do absolutely nothing. Tonight, when sleep time is over, I get up and I get into the bed. Will I ever hurt or draw blood? No, I will not.  My point being this, the blood is represented by the wine or juice, this is our fair deeds, that which we do.

The blood is the New Testament which is poured out for many unto forgiveness of sin.  The New Testament in me is the part where I’ve made the change in my way of thinking, the switch from visible to invible.  In that spiritual way of thinking, you start to do things differently, and you start to live the Gospel, that is where our blood, (our fair deeds) are poured out onto our forgiveness for past sins and mistakes.

Here we have one thing we will need to address seriously.

Because somewhere on my back I have a problem, or a situation with another person. Somebody close to me. Maybe it’s my boys, or fellow parents at school. I may be angry and hurt, now I do not want to make peace. I stay on my high horse and when I see the person I want to throw stones at them. This is an example only. Is this expample part of the spiritual, the unseen aspect of True Communion. Am I prepared to forgive? Do I accept the person as he or she is, or am I nursing that thing in my mind?

Let’s come back to this heaven, the firmament in the midst of the waters.

God said that there would be a firmament in the midst of the waters. Let me ask you a question about water. If I have a glass of water in my hand, is there water in it or waters? Waters is the plural of water. In other words, it’s a lot of water. I’ve been done with school for many years, but I know we do not talk about waters at all, it’s just water. There is only water in a glass, there are no 2 or 3 waters. Water is just water, no matter the volume.

In the entire Hardap Dam there is only water, not many waters. It is the largest dam in our country, Hardap Dam. We have properly determined, no matter how much water it stays water.

But God speaks of waters. What water does He speak of exactly?

He said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and make the separation between waters and waters. He still speaks of waters. Go read it in Genesis 1: 1-13.

Let me explain with the following example.

In Southern Africa alone, there are more than 2,000 registered church societies. It’s a billion dollar industry, because the happier I can and chat, and the more pleasure I offer, the more pounds I get in the pot.

I have to add, all of them teach their people to be better people and to do more good, and with that I agree wholeheartedly. Anything and everything that makes mankind better is an advantage to the world, so I pray that each will continue with the good work they do. And so they will be blessed.

Those many different gospels, each of the more than 2,000 church societies, those gospels are the waters of which God speaks. Different waters, different gospels, different ways of understanding, different ways of interpreting the Holy Scriptures. And He made a separation between waters and waters.  He seperated the different gospels for me, in my mind of understanding, He seperated them and made one more clear and understandable.
All the waters spoken in the Bible are gospel words. All water is gospel. Jesus came to the well and asked the woman for water, it is written in John 4: 1-42. He said unto her, when you give me water, I will give you water of which you will never thirst. The water of life. The spiritual water. In other words, the clarification of the gospel of Christ in a spiritual understandable way.

And he showed me a river of water, clear like Christ flowing out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Revelation 22. And you will remember in my previous writing we talked about this, where do I find God? Where do I go for God? You can read here if you missed it.

“Come!” “And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”- Revelation 22:17
He also comes and tells His disciples, surely I tell you this generation … not another generation from long ago or one still to come, today is this generation. You and I are this generation. He says this generation will not pass before all these things have happened. Until everything is finished. He also said that the kingdom of God does not come with visible signs.  He came to tell us, do not look here or look there because the Kingdom of God is within you. Jesus says in my Father’s house there are many homes. Each of us are one of this many homes.

We reveal God by living the fruit of the Spirit. Behold, if I have love, I have peace, and all the fruit.

If I love, I treat others with love too. I would like to use an example that I see with my parents. Jesus also spoke in parables to convey better comprehension. My dad will always say to my mother that food was very good after eating. He will always praise her and be grateful to her. It is a very beautiful thing. And the times he did not like what she made, then he would tell her 2 weeks later not to prepare again. Is this love? Is this what God is? It is. I see and know God in and through my parents. But so in and through many other people around me too.

God in flesh.

Not far behind the sun, moon and stars. God is Spirit, and truth and love.

The Spirit of God has floated on the waters. The waters are the different gospels. These are the waters that He separated. God could not find a resting place until there was a change in me, a change in my way of thinking and doing.

When start to understand what God really is and where to find Him. Then God can make a living in me, find a resting place within me. God is near, and He lives.

I also reveal God every day, wherever I go, with every person I come into contact with, God reveals and works through me.  I do not walk with the bible under my arm, because the Gospel is a way of life. God is in me and with me, I live the Lord. The Gospel is visible through my deeds. Deeds speak louder than words.

Do you have a Bible to read the things I talked about? If not, you should not wait get yourself a Bible today, follow my link here.

The Visible and the Invisible aspects of the Gospel of Christ

We are discussing two concepts today. The visible and the invisible aspects of the gospel of Christ.
All Christians have a duty, a primary assignment given to all of us. No matter about race, color, background or belief, we all have the same task. In Matthew 6:33 The Lord says: “… seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” The mission is clear, we should first seek His Kingdom and His righteousness then everything else will be given unto us.

Righteousness is a way of life. It is a quality or state of being just, or rightful. It means to lead a life that is pleasing to God. God is the source of all righteousness. In Matthew 5:20 it is written: “For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”

One of the most difficult concepts to grasp and understand completely, and correctly, is spirit, the spiritual side of the Gospel, or in easier terms, the invisible side of the word of God. You see, there is the visible world, and the invisible (spiritual) world. The visible world is the one where we use our five senses. Everything that we see, touch, hear, smell and taste. The invisible world is therefore the one we cannot see, touch, hear, smell or taste with our natural physical senses.

This is a world in the mind of man.

Let’s take a look at Hebrews 11. The entire chapter deals with faith. In faith, they did this and in faith, they did that….They did many things and accomplished a lot through faith. Verse one of Hebrews 11 teaches us that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Emphasis being on not seen. From verse three we see that the world was created by the word of God. The word of God is spirit, we cannot see the word of God. We cannot see any spoken word for that matter, oh but I am talking about the spiritual word. That which we cannot see is spirit. Now, from this we understand that the world was prepared and created by the spiritual word.

The spoken word is unseen, therefore it is spirit.

The person speaking these words, he or she can be seen, thus the person is not spirit. The invisible made the visible. The things that are seen, did not, and do not originate from the visible things. Everything originates from a spoken word, an invisible word, a spiritual word.

We are still seeking the Kingdom of God, because he says to seek first the Kingdom of God….

Now it becomes very interesting,

because in Luke 17:21 it is written “ Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

What?

When looking for something, there are two things to know. You need to know what it looks like, otherwise you will get it and not even know it.  You need to know what it looks like, you must have insight and knowledge of what it looks like. And then you should also know where to search. The one thing that God is very serious about is that you must have knowledge. It is written in Hebrews 10, but we will come to that later on.

We are still busy with Luke 17:21 “And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, The Kingdom of God cometh not with observation”.

The Kingdom of God does not come with visible signs!

If we speak of the Kingdom we will not find it here, is this so? The whole world thinks when the Kingdom comes, we will see it with our physical eyes. On a cloud for all to see, with angels, and angels choirs, beautiful lights etc. The Bible’s King of Glory will not come with visible signs because the King of Glory is within you. The Kingdom of God is invisible, spiritual.

Now we know where to search right?

Another question, if the scriptures make it so clear in 1 Cor. 15 that flesh and blood will never see or bear the Kingdom of God. No matter who or what you are and in some cases who you know, the scripture’s clearly state that no flesh, or blood, will enter the Kingdom of God.

Now we ask ourselves another question. If it is so clear in the Bible why do people not understand that? The Lord says the Kingdom of God is within you, within me.

Luke 8:10 and Matthew 13: 13-17. For it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God. Romans 10. The Lord says the prayer I do for Israel is to their salvation. Because, they do not know the righteousness of God they have set up their own righteousness. And by that they are going to ruin.

This whole matter of the Gospel, the whole matter of proclaiming the Gospel is to gain knowledge, to get comprehensibility. To know that if anything about God and the Gospel is the invisible, spiritual. And it is through the invisible that the visible became visible.

This whole spiritual matter of the Gospel is number one to comprehend, to fully understand. Everything concerning God, all things with the Gospel, is the invisible. The clergyman confirmed that we could see it, by the invisible, the visible became apparent.

In John 1, in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God.

He said nothing had arisen except by the word.

The only place where God can work, is in my heart of understanding of man. To change my mind so I can know that God is not visible, but that God is invisible, and through my works, God become visible. This is recorded in Ephesians 2:17. Everyone must preach this Gospel, every one of our minds must be changed.

Nicodemus came to Jesus at night. We know now that it’s not a natural night, it’s a spiritual night referred to. The night is the incomprehensibility, the ignorance of a matter. Nicodemus saw something, he experienced something, then he came to Jesus asking: Rabbi, no one can do the deeds you do, unless you are sent from God, what should I do to also come in your Father’s Kingdom? Then Jesus told him to be born again. He asks, but how will I go back into my mother’s lap. In other words, he thinks it to be visible, the natural lap of his mother. Because his mind has not been changed yet. The purpose of the Gospel is to change my mind, my way of thinking, and my lifestyle. I know when God talks to me, I do not have to look at the visible. Nicodemus looks at the visible, from his question “how will I go back into my mother’s lap, as I’m a big man”, you can see his mind has not been changed yet. Then Jesus said to him, what is flesh, is flesh, that which is visible, is visible.

Remember, everything that is visible has originated from the invisible, a word.

Let me make a simple example, to build a house starts in the mind as an idea, a thought, a plan in your mind, then you put it on paper and from there it is build, but it started with a thought, which is a word. A thought before going to any other phase. The picture, the finished product begins with the invisible, then becomes visible. Even the color is invisible at first, it becomes visible when you see the correct one. When you see it you know what the perfect color is, how did you know? How do you know what the right thing is? Because it was already manifested in your conscious or subconscious mind.

A teacher is the same, he does not convey visible knowledge to a child, the knowledge is within him, it is invisible, and when children are tested, the knowledge on the page is not tested, no, the invisible knowledge is being tested, what is in the mind and memory.

We come to Ephesians 2. He has proclaimed the Gospel of peace to those who are far and to those who are near. For through Him we all have access through one Spirit to the Father. Spirit. He said so, “you are no longer strangers and inhabitants, but fellow citizens of the saints, and house fellows of God, of a Holy
Calling.”

What is the question again, is God visible or invisible? We are house fellows of God. How are we house fellows of God? In the scriptures they ask Jesus about His Father.  You speak so much of your Father, show us your Father? He said to them, you’ve been with me for so long, but you still do not know my Father? The Father is in me as I am in Him and We are in you. But how? Through the Spirit of God. It’s Spirit. Because our minds have changed, our mindset has changed, our view of things has changed, our way of thinking of understanding has been changed.

Building on the foundation of Apostles and Prophets. Now these Apostles and Prophets according to Ephesians 4. He said He first captured the prisoner and gave gifts to the people, and then he gave Evangelist, Shepherd, Teacher, Apostle and Prophet, to equip the Saints for their service. To equip them for their services to build the body of Christ. This body then comes to be a perfect home by the Spirit. Do you not know that you are members of the body of Christ, individual members. We each are a member. But do not think we’re all eyes, do not think we’re all feet. In other words, He describes the function, the function I serve in this body, the work the Lord gave me. And only I know what this job is.

From our life to the Gospel, others can see visions or dream dreams, some strengthen and some support others. Each of us has a job.

This Gospel is built on the foundations of Apostles and Prophets while Jesus Christ himself is the corner stone, on which the whole building is well-assembled, raised to a holy temple in the Lord. In whom we are also built together for a dwelling place for God and the Spirit.

Where are we looking to find God? Do we still run around, do we still look here and there? Let’s see how we got there. Ephesians 1:13. I want to see you begin the transformation process, the change that you and I have to go through.

The Lord says water is the word of God, earth is the mind of man. The Lord says the earth is being prepared for God for a place of residence. The Lord says the earth proclaims the glory of God. We know when we speak God’s language, we speak invisibly.

They say, seeing is believing, you know the saying. This statement is absolutely not true, seeing is not believing. Let me tell you. The Lord says in whom you also heard the word of truth, heard the Gospel of your salvation, in whom you, after you also believed, were cared for by the Holy Spirit, the promise…
That God our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of Glory, to you the spirit of wisdom. Why wisdom? Wisdom is so that you can distinguish between what is visible and what is invisible, between what God’s matter is and what matters to man.
We can read at 1 Corinthians 15. He’s giving the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation knowledge of Him. Give knowledge of Him. Because if you know something, I can do that. The knowledge is the invisible, I have knowledge of something, therefore I can apply it. The invisible knowledge gives you the ability to see things, and to know how to behave or how to work. Then he speaks of the enlightened eyes of the mind. It is also written that they will see but not see and do not hear. Because the gospel must give you the enlightened eyes, if I say this matter is now revealed to me, then I understand it.
He said in the beginning the word was and the word was with God and the word was god. And the word is the light in my life, this word has become understandable.
Illuminated eyes of the mind, I have never seen the eyes have a sense, nor the mind. But what do we really see, do we see the eyes? Or do we really see our minds? The eyes are just the lens.
If I say something is dark to me, I’m covering, I do not understand. If the deity is dark to me, I do not understand it. That’s why their Nicodemus had at night …. because the matter was dark for him, there was incomprehensibility. He knew what he believed in, something should be better, something else has to be done. That’s what Jesus spoke to, it’s like the spirit, that’s invisible. They ask Him how the fruits of the Spirit look Galatians 5. The first one is love, where is love, in the invisible, in the Spirit. Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, restraint, it’s all invisible. But how is the fruit of the Spirit visible? By doing me and you, through what we show in our deeds to others. This makes the invisible visible. Only man can see this fruit of the Spirit but only we can reveal it. if we disclose this, that’s why god regards us as his kingdom. Through us, these things of the kingdom can be seen. The kingdom is not food and drink. If you have had a good meal and thought, and you’re well saturated, then you’re saying “ex now in heaven”. No, that’s not heaven. Your stomach is just full, you are full. The kingdom of God is the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. All of these are all invisible, and through what we do then it becomes visible. We make it visible.
Ephesians 1 He sees the enlightened eyes of your understanding so that you can know the hope of his calling and what the riches of his glory are of the inheritance among His Saints etc. 1 Corinthians 15. Now we want to bury the nature, buried the visible so that only the invisible will come forth.
In certain parts of the world, they throw the coffin to a funeral with cement, now I ask the one of the funeral service that will happen now if the man has to get up when the Lord comes. He tells me that the Lord will provide, but now we have to make such a plan for the thieves, before they will steal this coffin.

1 Corinthians 15:40 for there are celestial bodies and there are earthly bodies. In other words, visible and invisible. The celestial body is a soul. The soul of man. If the soul is out of the body, then there is no life. The body of man can not without the soul. The visible can not be without the invisible. Nature can not be without the Spirit.

Let me tell you about a story that illuminates the power of the mind of man. It’s Friday afternoon before a weekend, everyone is ready to go home for a hard work week. A man named Koos walks through and sees that is right and sounded. He arrives at a freezer room that was recently built and the door locked behind him. He was found dead on Monday morning. The post-mortem investigation showed that he was cold. He was basically dead frozen. What is strange about that? Well, the freezer was not even connected at all, it was just the box that stood there. There was no way he could die freezing, it was hot in there. He told himself he was going to die for freezing because he was inside a freezer room, and so it was. The power of our brain is astronomical.

The same story as above is seen in our all-day life. All things, depression, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes. As those are ways of thinking ourselves ill and killing us without realizing what we are doing. Beware of your mind, take care of what you think.

Let’s talk about faith, that we can only see what is the power of faith. There is this traveler, he travels the world in search of treasure and excitement. He comes to a tribe deep in the forest. They have used a ritual, or a custom that has been used for many years, called the pointing of the bones. This custom is done during a ritual, a certain bone is pointed at someone, and surely every time that person dies. It is explained as being a “spear of thought”, once this spear is in the mind it kills you. It is not a physical thing, it is merely a thought, an idea placed in your mind that you believe and then, lo and behold it comes true. The mind of man is powerful.

The word of the Lord came to me and said before I formed you in your womb, I knew you before your birth. And before you came to appear, I sanctified you. Well why before birth? It’s simple, time and space when you were born and when God was there, when we die, God will be there today God is here, God will be there tomorrow, the next day. God does not have time, and God does not have space because God is Spirit. Before you are born, you are destined for certain things. Not one thing about God, and life, is by chance. Everything has a purpose. You are chosen.

Today if you hear my voice, do not harden your heart. I need you today, says the Lord. Not more, not yesterday, right now. Today is the day of salvation. All of us have excuses why we can not, but excuses are nothing. But do not lose courage, just pray that the circumstances of such a nature will change that excuses will no longer be there, excuses can be made out-of-order so that we can make way for God.

For the day will come that I and you can not run away anymore, the Lord said I should abandon my excuses. The Lords wherever He wants to send you, what you have to do, what you need to talk, it will be so. Now what is this God then talking about such things?

God, I in my Father, my Father in me and we in you. He says then They are in us, where else will they be? Do not be afraid. The Spirit of God is in you, no matter what, even if you crawl into a deep hole, the Spirit is with you in you. We can not escape it. Man’s God is everywhere, but I would rather say wherever I am, there is God.

This God of mine is mighty, my God is powerful. The Lord is my shepherd, nothing I will miss ….

Then the Lord stretched out his hand. How does it work now, God is then Spirit? What does God’s hand look like? It is a spiritual hand. Let me explain: The hands are the part of the body that works, caresses, comforts and cares. You and me are the hands of God. We do through the Spirit of God inspired and revealed by us, so we each do the function of the hands of God. Does this make sense? God’s mighty hands. It is this hand that God has stretched out. This hand stretches very far. He also extends lands, and sea and land to land, town to village, and human to man.

One came to me and taught me from the Lord, and the Gospel of Peace, so the Lord went out to me, and through man the words of the Gospel came to me, words driven by the Spirit of God, And the word was found at my entrance, and found a rest, and grew in me to great high places, this word which is God, the seed. So now God’s hand stretches from me even further to you this day. 1:04

You can only do something if you have knowledge and understand. Same with the Godhead. By knowledge, I gain experience.

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff and It’s All Small Stuff by Richard Carlson

There are all these little things that make up our everyday lives.  Small things like a friendly greeting, a smile, a forgiving gesture, listening …  you know, the small stuff.  The little things that tend to take over your life, consciously and subconsciously.  Most are habits which we have adapted over time.  Time to break the cycle.

This very special book teaches ways to make your actions more peaceful and caring, with the added benefit of making your life more calm and stress-free.  I love calm and stress free.

This little book with its 100 chapters is a real life changer, and a treat to read.  Each chapter is short, no more than about two pages.  Even if you learn one thing only from this book, it’s worth the read. But, I can guarantee that you will learn more than one thing from this little book.

It is a must read especially for anyone raising a child or children.  It is valuable life lessons that will make your child’s life so much smoother and easier if they implement these lessons in their everyday lives from a young age.  The future generation will be stronger and better than ever before.

I recommend this book to everyone!  Within its pages there are a lot of real pearls of wisdom.  Most of the tips you will put to use right away, some will take a little bit of time and practice.  Anyone who deals with people on a daily basis can use the skills in this book to improve themselves and their daily living.

It’s an easy enjoyable read, both down to earth and knowledgeable.  Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff and It’s All Small Stuff by Richard Carlson is aimed at helping you, with a conversational but concise writing style.  A lot of good information is included, with personal examples of how the strategies were used by the author.  There is something invigorating in knowing someone else struggle the same way as you do.

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff and It’s All Small Stuff by Richard Carlson is a pure rewarding reading experience.  It gives you the ability to look at things from a healthier point of view.

It puts so many things into perspective.  We tend to blow stuff out of proportion by making really big deals out of nothing, which we shouldn’t do.  It’s wasted energy that can be used in a large array of other productive positive ways.  To have more energy, to be content and to really enjoy your life.  This book must be kept close by and reviewed on a regular basis to keep your life running smooth, stress free and prosperous.

Carry this book around with you as you walk through life.  Whatever your belief is, or your background, it always helps to put things into perspective from time to time.  It’s not a book you can read and mark it as done and move on, no, this book is a good reference to turn to when you start going stark raving crazy mad with life.  The message is simple, the small stuff isn’t worth all the energy, time and drama it causes.

This valuable book truly inspires pushing you to increase your progress in attaining your life free from stress.  A big piece of heaven on earth.

The Game Of Life and How To Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn.

God is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth.  (St. John 4:24)

The Game Of Life and How To Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn is one of the best books I’ve ever read.  I love it.  This is my new favorite book next to the Bible, of course.

There are so many valuable truths inside this book, all relating to the Bible.  Amazing truths.  The Spiritual way of thinking makes the Bible come to life, it is open and so clear to understand, which makes it easy and valuable to incorporate in your everyday life.

The change you want, and the way of living and interpreting all these things is a way of life.  Understanding and truly living what you learn means to change your way of life.

Even though I grew up with this exact way of thinking, a different way of interpreting the Bible, I had a few AHAAAA moments myself when I read this book.  I think this is a very interesting read for anyone who are even the tiniest bit interested in the Bible.  Everything she writes just makes so much sense.

The Game of Life and How to Play it can be done by knowing exactly how to play the game which is called life.  It is a game of giving and receiving.  That which you give out, that you will receive.

This is a law which is absolute.  There are no exceptions, and there is no bargaining.

We learn not to build your decisions or plans on the past.  Make them and build on them with only now and the future in mind.  “…now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2) “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation”.  Sounds pretty clear to me.  You cannot change the past, why focus and mingle in it.  Acknowledge it, thank it for teaching you valuable lessons, then let it go, forgive and forget the Bible says.  Not just situations and others, but forgive yourself and then forget it.  Bless it for what it was and just bless it to be positive and fruitful.

I grew up in a home with a different way of thinking.  A different way of interpreting the Bible and life too.  A Spiritual way.

While I was growing up I thought we were weird.  As I grew older I realized we’re not weird, we are just different, unique.  The love of my life got to know the Spiritual way of thinking and living through my family, and soon after he was introduced to this he exclaimed that now he found the missing link, it all makes perfect sense now.

His life changed greatly.  I saw it and I loved it.  He did not change, he just became better.  He is a awesome being of light and love.  He moves through life effortlessly, with love and grace.  He is a picture of bliss, calm and serene, peaceful at all times.

He told me I have a gift that is precious and that I never fully realized it.  Or I don’t realize the power it holds.  This made me think, a lot, and then I came across this great book The Game Of Life and How To Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn.

As if this book was send to me, pieces of the puzzle shifted into place the moment I read this book.  It’s all connected.  Like one big ass giant spiders web or an enormous puzzle, everything is connected.    The physical world and the spiritual world walks hand in hand together.  The one has an effect on the other.  It does, more than most of us think.  The one is a shadow of the other, so closely related are the spiritual world and the physical world.

In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth.  That is the Heaven and earth within me.  There are three parts to my mind, the conscious mind, the subconscious mind and the super conscious mind.  For me it’s in the super conscious mind where God created this heaven and earth.  In a Spiritual sense, a Spiritual Heaven and earth.  The special place of divine design.   See the reference in the Bible in Luke 17:22.

Everything in your life, in this natural world are seen and experienced in the spiritual world.  Let’s take Genesis 1 for example.  We all know this piece, it’s the creation.  The earth was without form, and void, but the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  So, there was water, therefore not void?  Does not make much sense, but when you think of the earth as being your mind, and the water the word of God.  Then I see that this is all about spirituality, before you understood what it means, you were empty and confused regarding the word of God, it was a mess.  You had it, but you didn’t understand it, therefore you were empty in regards to the word of God.

So when your creation was done, all truth and spirituality was changed into organized understanding.  In Genesis 1:3 God said let there be light, and there was light.  He merely spoke a word, but this is not just any word, it’s the word of understanding.  Light being the understanding of the spiritual meaning of the Bible.  The moment you understand, it is like a light goes on.  This is how God was able to only create the sun, the moon and the stars on the third day of the creation, but there was light from the 1st day.

Jesus Christ teaches us that each person has the power to bless and to multiply, to heal and to prosper.   I have the power to heal and direct my entire life as well as myself.  This is possible by desire, faith and the spoken word.  Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened.  (Math 7:7) Think about this for a moment, no where does it say that it depends on circumstances, or we’ll see….. or maybe.  No it clearly states that whatever we wish and ask that will be given unto us, no questions asked.  Why do I doubt?

In the book The Game Of Life and How To Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn, her explanation on faith and fear struck a chord.  She explains that fear is the opposite of faith.  Faith is of God, and fear is from the evil side of things.  I don’t want to say the devil.  But you know what I mean.

Fear should be substituted for faith.  Perfect pure childlike faith.  Utter confidence, complete trust, a strong believe based on something you cannot see or feel.  Faith can move mountains, Matt. 17:20.  Another one that is beautiful is this one written in James 1:6, it says when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Your faith should be that of a mustard seed, and then nothing is impossible.  Another great example of this lesson is found in Luke 17:6 where what our faith should be, is compared to a mustard seed, the power we have to tell a tree to uproot and plant itself in the sea.  Let’s take a spiritual look at this.  The tree being you, or a group of like minded people.  The sea as being the unknown, or where the confusion lies.  Like the red sea that the Israelites had to cross too, where it was divided into two walls of water.  The king and his men drowned in all the chaos and confusion. The Israelites got through, which when you work it out mathematically would not have been at all possible to do, but they did.  And it all makes sense when you interpret it Spiritually.

Spoken words carry great power.  I have heard words described as being the most powerful force available to humanity.  Words have the energy and the power to create or to break.  Just imagine the immense power to be able to create, anything.  It says in Proverbs 12:18 that the tongue of the wise brings healing.  The words of the wise are like goads, we drive and direct our lives with our spoken words.  Directing and creating all the time.

Proverbs 18:21 clearly states that death and life are in the power of the tongue.  Words have power.  Words are powerful.  Words are wonderful.  God is the word, the word is God.  Jesus Christ taught us in various places throughout the Bible that any one of us has the power to bless, to multiply and to heal as well as to prosper through our own spoken words.

But it’s also clear that you have to make the first move.  All through the Bible there are examples of this.  There were these three Kings in the desert.  They had to dig ditches in preparation of water with no logical way of water being in the desert. They acted on faith, and they believed. You can read about this in Kings.

The following are words I say to myself every day.  The guideline I got from the book The Game Of Life and How To Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn.

“Infinite Spirit open the way for great abundance for me, for I am an irresistible magnet for all that belongs to me by divine right.  Only good can come into my life, only good can manifest.I now smash and demolish by my spoken word all negative history, all negative thoughts and feelings, all negative words, every untrue record in my subconscious mind I now smash and demolish.  All my own vain imaginings are gone.  I replace this with health, wealth, prosperity and love.  Blessed to be positive and fruitful. I have the power to neutralize and forgive my mistakes.  I have the power, there is only one power.”

To end off today, I still want to add that in Jude 1:10 it is written that we are supposed to understand the Scriptures in a Spirital way.  To me it’s clear that I am heading in the right direction.  Read this book, it’s a real mind opener.  A life changer.

The Miracles of Your Mind by Joseph Murphy

One of the most practical guides I’ve read, a masterpiece by Joseph Murphy, The Miracles of Your Mind.  With practical techniques.  I am overjoyed that I read this one after Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Many concepts that he writes about is also written about here in The Miracles of Your Mind.  The difference is this book gives it to us more simple, more practical approach.   More understandable, whereas Hill goes more in-dept into each process.  These are both masterpieces and great books to read.

To get back to The Miracles of Your Mind by Joseph Murphy, this is one of the books that should be read more than once.  This is a great book.

Do you know how your own mind works?  You have two minds, the objective mind or conscious mind, and the subjective mind, or subconscious mind.  He also refers to the two minds as the waking and sleeping mind.  This has great significance which I saw later on in the book.

The subconscious mind or sleeping mind is the one Joseph Murphy refers to the most.  The “holy” place of creation.  This is the place and time where all the “magic” happens.  Joseph Murphy describes so many astounding things the subconscious mind can do and achieve. Some I did not think possible, but surely according to the examples used and described in detail it is possible to control things and read people’s minds and travel to anywhere and obtain any information you want.  Some of these are stuff I myself only a few months ago would have thought only possible in movies, made up imagination of someone.

I doubted the possibility of some….

I was intrigued by this book from the first page.  Is an easy and enjoyable read throughout the book.  I could not put it down until I’ve finished it.  And then the next day I read it again (lol).

The subconscious mind accepts all suggestions from the conscious mind. Thereafter the subconscious mind fulfills your wishes.  It only operates on your wish is my command…  It accepts the orders and suggestions given to it as being true.  Your conscious mind is the director, the master of your life.

There is a powerful force within you, you should learn how to use it, the same as when you learn to ride a bike.  Once you realize and know how you will be unstoppable.

We all are learning more and more about the uses and power of the mind, I for one are very much intrigued and would like to know more.  We have unexplored power and possibilities.  I like it, I like it a lot.

I am gradually awakening to the possibilities of healing and creation powers I have in my mind.  That is why I am constantly looking out for books about the mind and the power of the mind.  Reading them, studying them and applying everything I learn in my own life.  My results are amazing.  I am a happy, free and a peaceful person.  Having peace is priceless you know.

All of these books, like The Miracle of your Mind by Joseph Murphy, I can see they all point to the same thing.  The same outcome, they just do in different ways.  In this I see that there is not only just one way to do this and achieve success.  There are different variations to achieve the same.  Your mind is an open book, a big thick one with many pages to write exactly what you want to write.  Create exactly what you want.

I am in training to become extraordinary.  I extent to you an invitation to join me.

Faith and the power of prayer.  Wait, don’t stop reading by the mention of prayer.  Hear me out first.  Prayer is basically suggestions given to the subconscious mind by the conscious mind in repetition in a peaceful way.  The subconscious mind being the all powerful force.  God with and within man.

Those of us who grew up in Christian homes were taught from a very young age to pray before bed time.  We had little child prayers we would recite.    First we learned to pray for all the obvious things, your mom and dad and your house and bed and pets, teacher, friends etc.  Later on our prayers changed and we prayed like grownups do, for all those but also wealth, peace, health, happiness etc.

Can you see it too, just as I’ve said above, at the time when we are still, our minds are quiet and we are relaxed.  That state just before sleeping, we give suggestions to our subconscious mind, then we fade off to dreamland and the subconscious mind springs to work, making these reality.  Or not, depending of course what we add onto that.  Do we add disbelief, or worry.  That gives the mind the completely wrong idea and the wrong ideas are created.  As simple as that.

Yes, it would seem simple, but then again there is a little bit of a catch.  Prayer should be positive and uplifting all the time, not a begging for health or wealth or anything.

Do you also see the amazing power that prayer can have?  Read this great book, it will give you a whole different picture.  One that makes a lot of sense.

Your mind can heal your whole body to health and harmony with child like miracle making faith.

He writes about alcoholism, uses this to explain a very good concept on how to break an addiction or habit.  Just as alcoholism is a disease of the mind, any other addiction is the same.  They can be treated and healed in the same way.  I’ve heard many say that an addiction is never truly healed or truly overcome, well I tend to disagree after reading this book.

He describes in detail what an addiction is and how to break it permanently using the power of your subconscious mind.  You have the power to break any habit or addiction permanently.

Your thinking controls you and your life.  Your subconscious mind accepts and acts according to what is given to it by your conscious thinking and feeling.

I have to add though, the subconscious mind will not easily just accept contradictions, it accepts what you believe and feel to be true, or what you accept as being possible.  You have to gain the cooperation of your subconscious mind in order to impress on it.

In Miracles of the Mind Dr. Joseph Murphy discusses his theory that we have amazing powers inherent in our subconscious minds that has the potential to change or improve our lives. This power we have can improve health, create wealth overcome addictions and bad habits, improve relationships, in general provides us with the best guidance in making all decisions.

He gives us tools, examples and attitudes in order to open up the infinite power within us.  Whatever it is you wish for, that has thus far been unattainable, this book gives guidelines and usable examples to put you on the right path to success.

The ideas portrait in the book is wonderful inspiring ideas.  I particularly enjoyed the chapter on the subconscious mind and health.  I am blessed to have a copy of this great book.

I like the suggestion to declare it is passing away.  That whatever ailment or pain you have is there, acknowledge it, thank it for coming and then tell it to heal itself and that it is passing away, going away.  I tried this and it works.  I removed the negative suggestion by using a counter suggestion.  One that is believable to both conscious and subconscious minds.

This book is a wonderful read.  Awaken your subconscious mind and once you start to realize the power of your mind, you can solve any problem, the change has to come from within you.  A simple trick that makes a great wonderful life.

The Easyway to Stop Smoking Book by Allen Carr

The Easyway to stop smoking book by Allen Carr is a true gem.

Let me tell you how this story goes.

I have these friends, let’s call him Mr. G. and her we call Ms. C.  They were both smokers, he still is but she is not.

She is a happy healthy proud non smoker.

She has been free of the monster for a while now.  And it’s been a magnificent voyage towards freedom.  Freedom from the monster of smoking.

She wasn’t planning on quitting.  Her friend asked her to get the book for him.  He heard about it somewhere from someone.  They discussed it and decided that it’s worth a try.

They both like smoking.
Neither of they intended to quit.

She got a copy and decided to read it.  Before giving it to him.  She is naughty that way.

But anyhow she read it with the idea to see what all the fuss is about.  Mr. G. is a funny kind of person, very interesting person.  She likes spending time with him and she knows from experience that when he is interested in something it’s worth taking a look at.  So she started to read.

Halfway through the book she was still hooked on smoking.  Frankly because she liked it.  She likes smoking because it’s something naughty that she can hide from everyone around her.  Only a few selected people know.  A lot of people she knows have a hunch but they never really knew.  Or rather that’s what she think, she may be completely wrong.

But then she finished the book.  The next time that it was time for her regular secret smoke she just was not in the mood to smoke.  She told myself that she can get her usual fix the next opportunity she gets.

Needless to say she realized a week thereafter that she’s actually quit smoking.  What a surprise to her to realize that she haven’t smoked for a whole week and she haven’t even noticed!

Now you may ask what happened with Mr. G.?  Well, he is too afraid to read the book now.

Of course she knows all to well not to push him at all.  She’ll just leave it be and let him be.  He will read it soon enough.  The book is on his dresser table in his bedroom….

In The Easyway to Stop Smoking book by Allen Carr he advises you to never ever try any form of nicotine once you did exactly what he says.  But as usual she has to try his theory, and she did.

The big question now is what happened?

One day she tried a cigarette again.  Actually to tell the truth, she had three cigarettes that day.  The next morning she was sick,  had an enormous head, heavy and dull and throbbing.

Not a headache, but a big heavy head.

And she was tired all day.  She could hardly stay awake all day, yawning and teary eyed and sleepy.  She felt terrible.

That one day that she stepped over the line made her realize completely that every word written in the Easyway to Stop Smoking book by Allen Carr is the one true cure to the monstrosity that was ruling and controlling me, my health.

I suggest you read the book, and you decide the outcome.

Update ~ 2 months later…

Mr. G eventually took the book.  He has read it halfway, now he stopped reading because he can’t stop now…. because someone was about to come visit for a while and then “he really needs to smoke” he said. Otherwise this person will make him crazy!  We all know those excuses, all smokers or ex-smokers made them at one time or another in their smoking lives.

Keep fingers crossed, his reason for smoking leaves soon, then he will go back to reading this amazing book and he will surely quit.

Whatever the case may be, whether you believe me or not, I am here today to tell you that there is indeed such a book, and that this book will change your life and help you achieve whatever it is you desire.  If you are to read it and use the ideas and teachings contained inside this book, The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale, your life will surely change.

Here follows The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale review by me, Marlene W.

The truth contained in this book is as relevant today as it was several decades ago when Earl Nightingale wrote the book, The Strangest Secret.  This book brings to you simplified techniques that anyone who desires to succeed in anything can use to easily accomplish success.

Although the teachings and techniques, all the ideas may sound simple, really easy and uncomplicated, jet when scrutinized it becomes apparent that all these are workable, usable and practical.

Earl Nightingale makes a very powerful statement “we become what we think about” then he goes on to quote great men throughout history who all hold this same view and achieved great success in various fields, men such as William James, Marcus Aurelius, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Vincent Peale.  In other words, he is saying that if you and I believe strong enough, with unwavering rock solid faith, that you and I will succeed, then we surely will succeed.  On the other hand if we believe in our own failure, then we surely will fail.

What we think about ourselves, I mean that which we label ourselves to be, whether we are really good at something or not, we will inadvertently become good or bad at that thing, whatever it is we believe ourselves to be, that we will be.  In other words, if we think in positive terms, we will achieve positive results for ourselves.  Does that make sense to you at all?

He also states in his book that “success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal”.  Wow that is a mouth full.  What I understand from it is, whatever you want to become, your true desire deep inside your heart, if you worked hard at it, and realize it, then you will become successful.

Is this not also an indication that you and I should find something worth living for?  I think so.

He also stress on goals a lot and encourages us to set goals for ourselves.  We must set goals and work hard towards achieving these continuously in order to become successful.  Every day, every day, every day.  We have to keep working towards our goals every single day.

In his book, The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale, he also explains to us about the value of things.  He compares that which we get for free, with that which cost us money.  The interesting thing he says is that we tend to put a higher value to things that costs us money, rather than those things given to us for free.  Examples of these free things is the mind of man, love, family etc.

He emphasizes that we have to realize that everything that is priceless to us, like our mind and the power we have within ourselves, that which cannot be replaced, that is of true value.  Anything that can be obtained or replaced by money does not hold true value at all.  This is a very interesting point of view, one which I wholeheartedly agree with.

The majority of people on earth only use about 10% of their brain’s potential.  Imagine if you can use double that?  What do you think you will be able to accomplish?  The possibilities are endless, borderline miracles I would say.

We all have to pay a price for success, this means there are a few things we need to do in return for our success.  Let me give you a few examples, which I have learned from the book.  I personally like all these a lot, and I make extra effort to implement them in my everyday life since I had the opportunity to read this amazing book.

“Every action has a reaction”

“We become what we think about”

“Your limitation are self-imposed”

“You force all your courage to think positively on your problems”

“Save at least 10% of what you earn” Imagine that, if I had saved 10% of everything I’ve ever earned, I would indeed be rich today.

“Take Action – ideas are worthless unless we act on it”

How I wish I knew all these things, all he teaches in his book, about 20 years ago.  My life and me myself would have been completely different from what it is today.  I am making sure to teach my son everything that I learn on my journey now.  To make sure he get a better start in life than I did, with less headache stress and pain.  I went through some really tough times.

If you have children, maybe you should consider doing the same.  If all of us taught this valuable life lessons to our children, then we would have a better stronger more positive generation that takes the world over from us.

But to get back to The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale review by me, I want to tell you about the thirty day challenge he puts out to us at the end of the book.  I take this as a way to get started, and to devote yourself to do what he teaches you for 30 days in order to make it a way of life.  This way your life will surely change for the better, and along with it all it will become the new habit.

I decided to take up the challenge and to go through the 30 day challenge.  He poses certain questions and tasks to us, which we have to accept and do every day for 30 days.  Let me elaborate.

What is it that you really want?  Is it money?  A certain job?  Whatever it may be, be specific, be clear and concise when defining what you want, then think and feel positive about it all the time.   No matter what, keep at it as if you are crazy and know no other way.

Stop thinking about your fears, instead replace your doubts and fears with positive thoughts and goals. Doubt and fear hold you back.  Makes you attract that which is blocking your way to success.

Do more than what is expected, do more than you have to in everything.  Do more, but also be more.  Give more, and smile more.  I am serious, smiling is good for you, trust me.

The more you decide and think about what it is you want, the closer you will get to be to your goal.  Don’t you worry about how at all, just know and keep at it and you will see the changes happen automatically.

Although it might be hard, to do this for 30 days without failure, maintaining this way of thinking and doing for 30 days will show you it works, and you will probably find yourself wishing that you have found this book, The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale much earlier in your life, everything would be so much different… I know.

I am taking the 30 day challenge, I will give you an idea of how my journey changes over time.  I am so excited!

Day one of the thirty day challenge.

I put in all effort till I was good and tired.  So I read the book.  I liked it a lot.

Inside the book there is a challenge.  After I read the book, while I was writing my thoughts down on it, it struck me that the challenge is actually a brilliant idea.  Just there and then I decided to take up the challenge, but you already know that.  So lets keep going.

Today I did more.  Just more in everything I did.  More effort.  More of me.

My thinking cap was on today. Yeah.

In the book he discusses the aspect of God.  He has a really interesting point of view about who, where and what God is.  Irrespective of what religious belief you are.  We all belief in some higher power that we pray to for help when the poop hits the fan.   My point is, this point of view is very much the same as my belief that I grew up with.  To me that’s very interesting.  We’ll get back to this topic some time later.  I am still pondering it over.

I also realized today that attitude makes an enormous difference.  Yes, it does, attitude makes or breaks any situation.  A happy positive cheerful attitude changes so many things. And all of it for the better.  The stuff you and I can be proud of.

Today I started this book review, I don’t know what else to call it.  As well as the one by Napoleon Hill Think and Grow Rich (It is still a work in progress).

Day two of the thirty day challenge

Started with a bang!  We overslept by almost an hour.  But, we somehow managed to be 5 minutes early for school and 5 minutes early for my nieces work.  Phew, it was such a rush.  We all were in a happy cheery mood and we just worked so well together.  I haven’t overslept in years!  And another thing, when I was dropping Niece off at work, my car battery died, the car wouldn’t start….

Oh my word… we had such a laugh, it was hilariously funny.  So our day started with some small bad luck, we had so much fun, we enjoyed the moment immensely while otherwise we would not have had this experience had it not been for the battery that died on me. How fortunate are we?

So the question here now is how does this happen?  How is it that the very next day, after you make a positive life enhancing decision everything seems to go wrong?

I have a theory, it’s simple.  It’s the devil.  I made a positive decision yesterday, I decided to take on the 30 day challenge and do my utmost best in all aspects of my life to change my life.  Certain areas of my life is in dire straights, so much so that a miracle is much needed, and that is exactly what I am looking to accomplish, which this book promises.  I am going to test this 100%, give it my all for the next 29 days still to come.

Yesterday was a really good start, today so far it’s been good, although I hit a few rough patches, my attitude was not affected, my attitude towards it all was great and cheery and positive.  Years ago, when I overslept I would breath fire and be a monster all day, but today is a whole different story and I feel so good.  I am proud.

Life is awesome and worth living.

Day eight of the thirty day challenge

The last few days have been good.  A few bumps here and there, but nothing major.  I have been thinking a lot and I realized a few things which I want to share with you.

You get up every day, you have a routine to get yourself ready for the day.  You take time to get yourself ready to face the world.  You don’t just get up and go out.  I am talking about washing, brushing teeth, dressing etc.  Its a ritual you do every day, the same should be done for our mentality.  Our attitude.  We have to make time in the morning as well to freshen up and revive our attitudes and our goals we are working towards.

I find it helps to keep the important stuff fresh and on the forefront of my mind the entire day.  I am a lot calmer and I don’t fret over the small stuff at all.  I feel kinda proud of myself.  I like this side of me a lot.

It’s a sad day today, my dog died unexpectedly last night.  I only saw signs of him not being all too well two days ago.  What I experience today with this thirty day challenge is sadness.  I am sad but I seem to be able to control the sadness.  It’s not controlling me.

Among all this I have a question today.  In his book, The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale, he gives us reason to believe that God is not a physical being somewhere, he proclaims that God is within each of us.  I do agree with his theory, but then, I have to add, that I grew up in a religion that believes very much the same.

To get back to the point, if God is within us, then where will the devil be?  Or the evil side of whatever your belief is.  I have the utmost respect for all religious beliefs.  None the less, interesting question don’t you think?  Would that mean that the devil is inside us as well?  Another interesting question…  Leave me a comment, your view on this subject would be greatly appreciated, thanking you in advance, you are awesome.

Earl Nightingale does reveal what the secret is in his book The Strangest Secret.  What is even better than the secret being revealed, he gives us the exact ways as to how to apply this strange secret in our lives.

Day eleven of the thirty day challenge

Its a bunch of people together, people with the exact same goal and mindset at that very given time.   True happiness, true peace and true tranquility.  In most even the emotions are exactly the same.  Power in its biggest form.

All that potential power, all those powerful minds all focusing mind body and soul on the exact same thing.  How much potential power to you have their all in one place. Extraordinary.  I only realized this today.  I have been a part of such a magnificent community all my life and I only realize this now.

Its a tad bit of a disappointment that it took me so long to figure out.  But I have to say, I am impressed, I did it before 40.  I now know something I didn’t know before. Yeah.

Its strange that your eyes can be opened in life to new amazing experiences.  I told you earlier in this page that I found something I love by changing my attitude towards this specific thing.  Its got to do with music.

Due to my eyes being opened to this music, I saw and learned more than one valuable lesson.  I learned that I have an amazing support system that I can tap into and use anytime I want.  But I also learned that I am part of an amazing support system where I can help other members achieve their goals and desires as well.

There is something else I’d like to share with you today.  My Dad has a saying that you can break one match easily in half.  But the more that matches become the more difficult it is to break them.  Someone else I heard speaking said the same thing just in other words.

He used the example of reeds.  One reed is easily broken, but a bunch of reeds will surely give you a hard time doing the same, a real hard time. This is a great example of our strength when we stand together, with everything we’ve got.  What can be stronger than that?  Do you also see God working through people this way?  To me it makes complete sense.

What is it that you really want?

Stop thinking about your fears.

Do more than what is expected.

Do you remember the above from the beginning of this page.  I thought I needed a refresher.  Therefor post it so I can see it for the next few days when I log on.  Just a subtle reminder to me.  To keep fresh in mind, to keep my eye on the goal.  I think I am doing really really good.

You know what I did?  No you don’t, but let me tell you.  I wrote these three phrases on a piece of paper, and stuck it with press stick to the wall right in front of my loo.  When I look up I look at it.  To me this works really good.  It’s worth a try, don’t you think?

Day thirteen of the thirty day challenge

Today is month end.  This is usually the worst time for me.  Its the time when I realize the month is over, it’s the time when bills have to be paid and its the time of the month that gives me an idea of how the month ahead will be like.  How much money I’ll have to get through the month ahead.  As I am going through a very rough patch in my life I usually break down, when worry and stress takes over.

I am feeling stronger and more positive than the previous months.  It’s been a year since I started to sink into a deep dark hole.  For the past year I’ve tried to get out of this horrible place.  I am still in a place of dire finances.  Not being able to see where the next months meals will come from.

I am strong and I am proud of myself for not breaking down.  Giving into the negativity.  Maybe tomorrow I will see the light and something will change.

Hopefully I can just keep this good up and more upwards from here.  Maybe things will be different come the next end of the month.

Day sixteen of the thirty day challenge

Halfway into the challenge and I broke down.  What a miserable feeling.  What a horrible place to be at.

I feel broken and defeated.  I see no light in the deep dark tunnel.

It’s all too much for me today.  I made it good for the past few days, but something just snapped in me today and I failed.

I failed the thirty day challenge and I failed my son.  It’s worse than ever!  I feel depressed and I see now way out.

How do you stop or overcome this horrible situation?  I sure don’t know how. I don’t know how to fix myself today.  It’s all just too much for me to bear.  I am so weak today and I can’t stop crying.  It seems to come from a place which I have no control over.  How does one get into this?

All these thoughts and questions going through my head.  Times like this I feel completely and utterly alone.  As if there is no one out there that feel the same or understands what I am going through.  I question my faith, my believe and even question the existence of my God.  How would my all powerful God let this happen to me when I give my all to Him and his Church?  Does my almighty God not have interest in me or my life?  Do I depend and believe in something that does not exist?

I as a parent love my child so much I would never let my child suffer this way.  Or am I being punished for something I don’t know I did?  Do I not serve a God or love and forgiveness?  If so, why this harsh punishment?  I would never punish my child this way no matter what.

The questions haunt me, why why why?  But I have been taught all my life to never ask why.  Never question God or my circumstances.

Just when I think things are turning and getting better then three horrible things happen to put me right back where I was or even in a worse place.  How do I get out of this and move a little up.  A little bit in a better direction.

I am a good person, I do good unto others.  I am always a little ray of sunshine, positive and inspiring towards others.  Picking them up and helping them be better.

I seem to have a constant fight, a battle I fight with a solid brick wall.  I failed.  I have to start again, from day one.  Today I’ll break down and I’ll give in and get it all out.  I’ll sit in my corner and I’ll give into sorrow and self pity.  Tomorrow I’ll start again, from scratch at day one and I’ll fight again.  But today I am not strong enough.  I will fight again.

Day seven of the thirty day challenge ~ The second attempt at my endeavor.

I’ve made educated decisions.  This is a huge stepping stone for me.  I used to react on impulse all the time.  I never just took a minute to think for a moment.

This past week I made educated decisions.  I am so proud of myself.  And I can honestly add that everything I did that the book The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale told me to has turned out to be easier and more effective than the first try.

I am in a state of complete euphoria.

All I can say about this awesome book at this stage in my personal path to enlightenment is that it’s working for me.  I can see the changes in my life.

Update 28.04.2017

I did not realize it the first time around, there is 3 things he outlines that I have to do a few times every single day.  Write your goals down, get rid of your fears and be better at everything every new day.

It is important to write your goals down.  To carry them with you and to read them each time you are able to, being cheerful, relaxed an positive while doing so.  Not fake, genuine.  You do this every morning upon waking up, as well as at night in bed just before falling off to peaceful sleep.

You become what you think about, therefor it makes sense, the more you think about what you want, the faster and quicker you will manifest this in your life, and in yourself.  Your goal must be a smart goal, having smart goals are essential to your success.

S – Specific and Significant

M – Measurable and Meaningful

A – Attainable and Action-Oriented

R – Relevant and Rewarding

T – Time-bound and Track-able

Goal setting is a powerful process about your ideal future, and for motivating yourself to turn your vision of your desired future into reality.

Keep a mental attitude that failing is not an option, it is impossible to fail.  Remove doubt and fear from your mind.  Simply replace destructive thoughts and feelings with constructive ones.

Your success is a direct indication of the quality and quantity of service you offer.  Always aim to help others first and foremost.  The rest falls into place automatically.  There is not such thing as something for nothing.  This is a true natural law.  Don’t ever let anyone tell you different, you have to offer something of true value in order to receive something of value to you.  Quality service comes first, after that comes the money.

Stick to it and do it for 30 days, if you fail and you fall into negativity.  Stop. Take a moment to reflect on what you want and then start the whole process over again.  Never ever stop trying.  As long as you continue you’ve already won a big bunch, one you quit, it’s done, then you’ve lost.

My inner thoughts on this phenomenal book The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale.

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

It’s an amazing book.  Easy to read, and easy to understand, both intellectually and emotionally which is very important.

Probably the only book you’ll ever need to read to know exactly how to succeed with anything.

Whatever it may be that you want to change or better yourself or your life, this is the answer to your prayers.

Napoleon Hill uses many stories to illustrate his points in the book, stories we know, things we’ve heard of, and learned about in school.

Most of these stories were brand new to me, let me explain.  After I read the book, and saw in the stories how these people used these principles described to make phenomenal changes and successes of their lives.

People with stories and situations just like yours and mine.

Ordinary people who went on to achieve amazing results.

This stuff is powerful, life changing information.  I discovered this book a few months ago, and since then I have read this book a few times, and I will still continue to do so in future too.

I have seen remarkable changes in my own life since.  Changes in myself.

From all the thousands of self help books on the market today, this book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill remains the towering giant over them all.  He has helped thousands of people from around the world, and still continue to do so, all whom have had the privilege of reading this book, to achieve their dreams and achieve amazing success in various aspects of their lives.

These principles have been tested by thousands and stood the test of time because what is written inside is the truth.

The fact that everything, no matter what, starts with an idea in the mind of man. The mind of man is more powerful than anything else in the world.  Everything, every aspect of your life starts in your mind, with a thought, an idea.

Your thoughts are powerful.  You have within you greatness, you have within you extraordinary power.

You can train and strengthen your mind to lead you to unimaginable conquests.

You can have anything your heart desires.

Throughout the entire book I see lessons in attitude.

Change your mind and you change everything.

Your mind meaning your thoughts, feelings, emotions and attitude towards everything.  And of course you have to get off your (whatever you sit on) and do something.

Take action.  Right now.

End all destructive behavior.

What is destructive behavior you ask?  Well, I’ll say it is anything you do that stands in your way of achieving what you want.   You want to gain something right?  Well, sometimes you have to loose something first in order to move forward.  Destructive behavior, that’s exactly what I am talking about.

What if you have a little bit of a bad habit, which might be frowned upon by some.  But it gives you imagination, it gives you quiet and calm.

I am talking about a glass of red wine at night, writing in the dark by one candle light.

All these self help books say to exclude things like alcohol and drugs.  The drugs I fully understand and agree with, but would you agree that a glass or two of a good quality wine assists the creative juices in flowing?

I have read this book a few times.  It really does what it promises if you add effort to it.  The information and help, not just any help, (in dept detailed help), helped me to make changes in my life that is wonderful.  I am calm and collected at all times.  I am peaceful and I have no stress.

I live a wonderful, happy, free life.

I must admit tough that I am still working on a few things, not all is perfect like I want it to be, yet, but I am getting there, one step at a time.

I hope you found this post helpful.

If so, please feel free to share it with the important people in your life, (and the less important ones too;-) they will all find value in these written words, and if you have any questions or comments please leave them below.

I’d love to hear from you.

Thank you 🙂
